Same Stuff - Different Day

This week has been uneventful to say the least. We are loving the cooler weather but hating all of these wildfires. Crockett is so bad. The air, my classroom, my car....it all stinks like smoke. As far as us on C'Villa Circle....I haven't cooked this week and we have been sitting outside in the evenings.

Luke cut another tooth last weekend and leave it to Grammy to find this one too. She makes me feel like a super mom. She notices everything first. I would love to think it cut through on Saturday, the 3rd, but I really have no clue when it popped out. Luke also said mamamamaama this weekend, makes me super proud even though he can't function if his daddy is not in the room. He will break his neck looking for him and never takes his eyes off when he does find him. Cody has been dropping him off and picking him up everyday and he has gotten super attached. They are home for at least an hour in the afternoon before me and Jake get there so they have plenty of bonding time and its starting to show. And makes mamamamam a little sad. In all seriousness, I actually love it. I cant wait until they are old enough to go away with Cody on hunting and fishing trips. Every little boys dream!!

Last weekend was so much fun back home. We spent Saturday out at my dad's house. It may be Jake's favorite place to go. My dad has guns, a four-wheeler, drills, screws, paint, wood, old cars, bullets, lots of land, and anything else you can possibly imagine. My dad can fix and make anything. He would tell me as a child he knew everything and I would always laugh. The older I get the more I realize he may just be right. He is THE PERFECT Grandpa. If I didn't think those shirts that said "World's Best Granpa" were so cheesy I would for sure get him one. Jake says what he wants to do, and my dad jumps. My step mom is one of the best cooks I have ever met. We ate fried shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, boiled shrimp, squash casserole, salad, cole slaw, and garlic bread. It is always so good to the point it should be sinful or illegal.

Jake would ask my dad if he hit the target and my dad would say no not that time. Jake's response,"yes I did you just didn't see it."

Monday we spent the day with the Simmons family. We all drank margaritas and let our kids run all over the patio at the Mexican restaurant. That's the best kind of lunch. Don't judge! We were the only ones out there. Having lunch with my best friend ands seeing our kids play and laugh definitely made for a good week here at school.

We are going to check out the Centerville Tigers tonight at the football game after more margaritas and dinner with friends. Tomorrow, Amy and Dylan are coming from Friendswood to visit. I can hardly wait!!

My humor for the week-
A little girl in Jake's class has a spot on her leg that obviously resembles a ringworm. Jake told her yesterday she may have an inchworm and she needs medicine because they itch very bad.

                                                                  I mean, really?!!!
